Suicide can have a tremendous impact on individuals, families and friends, as well as on the broader communities affected, with implications for years after the death. When key stakeholders, including service providers, media representatives, schools, youth, parents, first responders, faith leaders and persons with lived experience are informed about grief and trauma, resource, a cohesive response utilizing evidence informed strategies can promote healing and reduce further risk to others.
