In fact, many coalition leaders feel overburdened and overwhelmed, wishing that more community members would join their efforts. This is a clear recipe for burnout and something that all coalitions should try to avoid. So how do you get more community members to become actively involved in coalition work to help the coalition fulfill its vital mission? This session will help prevention coalition leaders to understand just what it takes to recruit new members to their coalition. Initially, the session will cover information related to creating coalition appeal – how to make their coalition a place where people want to be. Information will be presented that focuses on the soft skills that are required for professional networking that helps to develop community partners, allies, and champions.
