The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation is proud to host the 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention in the Black Community Summit. At the core of our values is an unwavering commitment to “Saving Lives Until Not One Is Lost.” Our upcoming summit revolves around the theme “Moving Hope into Action: Faith, Family, and Community,” embodying our mission to initiate change.

Our primary focus is to destigmatize, normalize, and break the silence surrounding these issues while striving to strengthen efforts to educate and advocate for mental health wellness for individuals, families, and communities impacted by suicide in the Black Community.

In collaboration with Governor Mike DeWine, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and Recovery Ohio, the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation proudly launched the 2024-2026 Suicide Prevention Plan for Ohio. This comprehensive plan outlines statewide goals designed to bring together community leaders, healthcare providers, and public officials. Together, we aim to change the narrative surrounding mental health and enhance access to care specifically for the Black community.

We invite you to join us for this one-day event because, at the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation, we believe that “Life is Better With You Here.” Your support will contribute to a collective effort to foster a community that prioritizes mental health, breaks down barriers, and ultimately saves lives. Together, let’s make a lasting impact on the journey toward mental health awareness and suicide prevention in the Black Community.

Registration is free for OSPF members and $30 for non-members. A CE Application has been submitted for continuing education for prevention, social work, and psychologists.
