Webinar: 988, the New National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Number and the Future of Ohio’s Crisis Care System

Jul 14, 2022

Event Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Virtual

In mid-July, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number will officially transition from 1-800-273-8255 to 988, but that’s not the only change on the horizon. Register for our next webinar on July 14th from 1:00 – 2:15 EST to learn about the gaps that necessitated a revolution in the nation’s – and the state’s – approach to behavioral health crises, what happens when someone calls 988 in Ohio, and how the state is using 988 as a starting point to transform our crisis care system.

Participants will hear from panelists Stacey Frohnapfel-Hasson, the Chief of Prevention at the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services; Jeffrey Heck, a suicide loss survivor and suicide prevention advocate; and Alexander Rulon from the Talbert House, a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline partner.

Registration is free, and attendees can request continuing education for prevention, addiction counseling, social work, marriage and family counseling, and psychologists.
